COMMON QUESTIONS

1.  Can I pay by cheque?

Electronic payment through PayPal is secure and easy but we will also accept cheques.  Please e-mail us at info@makeindustries.co.uk, stating what you would like to purchase and your delivery details.  We will not dispatch your order until we have received and cleared your cheque, please post to Make Industries Ltd., 27 Cromwell Close, London, N2 0LL.  Please make cheques payable to MAKE INDUSTRIES LTD.

2. Do I have to have a PayPal account to use my credit or debit card?

No, you can still pay through PayPal without holding a PayPal account.  Look out for the 'don't have a PayPal account?' area when checking out.

3. How long will it take for my order to arrive?

For all UK deliveries our goods are  despatched by Second Class Recorded Delivery which should normally take 3 days.  Overseas orders will be despatched by International Signed for Delivery and should normally take 5 days.  All orders will require a signature on delivery.  We will aim to dispatch your order as soon as payment has been received but please allow up to 28 days for delivery.

4. How much is postage and packing?

Postage and packing charges are listed next to each item in our online shop. The charges are automatically added to your basket when you check out.  There are no additional handling fees.  European & International charges are available on checkout.

5. Can I return items?

We will refund or exchange any item you are not happy with if it is returned to us within 7 days in its original condition.  Post and packing however will not be refunded and any return post is the responsibility of the buyer.  Please e-mail us prior to any returns.

6. How secure is Make Industries Ltd?

We use PayPal for all electronic payments and rely on their experience and site security to protect your financial details.  Please refer to PayPal for further information.

These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website at www.makeindustries.co.uk.  By accessing this website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
 
Using this website indicates that you accept these terms regardless of whether or not you choose to register with us or order from us.  If you do not accept these terms, do not use this website.

1 PRICE AND PAYMENT

1.1 We accept payment using cheques and all major credit / debit cards. Credit / debit cards are dealt with securely using PayPal. If you would like to pay using a credit / debit card please select PayPal as your method of payment. This will take you to PayPal's secure website where you can either sign into an existing account or scroll down to 'don't have a PayPal account?' and pay securely using a credit / debit card. There is no need to register with PayPal when using this method.

1.2 All prices are in GBP. Carriage including all relevant packaging shall be paid for by the Buyer.

1.3 Payment of the price and any other applicable costs shall be paid within 5 days and before any goods are dispatched.

1.4 Title in the Goods shall not pass to the Buyer until the Seller has been paid in full for the Goods.

2 DELIVERY

2.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, delivery of the Goods shall take place at the address specified by the Buyer. The Buyer shall make all arrangements necessary to take delivery of the Goods whenever they are tendered for delivery.

2.2 The date of delivery specified by Make Industries Ltd. is an estimate only. Time for delivery shall not be of the essence of the contract.

2.3 All UK orders will be sent by Second Class Recorded Delivery to keep the buyers costs at a minimum but to ensure secure delivery. UK deliveries should normally take 3 days after payment has been approved but please allow up to 28 days for delivery.

2.4 Overseas orders will be sent by International Signed for Delivery. Overseas deliveries should normally take 5 days after payment has been approved but please allow up to 28 days for delivery.

2.5 Make Industries Ltd. is not responsible for any items lost or damaged in the post once dispatched. Nor is it responsible for any extra charges incurred due to customs, duty or brokerage fees or otherwise.

3 RETURNS

3.1 Make Industries Ltd. will exchange or refund any item you are not happy with provided they are returned in their original condition within 7 days of receipt. Returned merchandise must be in the condition sold (unused and new) with original packaging and tags intact. Exchanged items can only be dispatched after the returned goods have been received and undergone a quality control check. Make Industries Ltd. reserves the right to refuse a return or exchange for any item sent back in a condition where the item has been used or damaged.

3.2 Post and packing charges will not be refunded and additional delivery charges will apply to exchanges.  Costs for return shipment are the responsibility of the customer.

3.3 Please ask for proof of postage/recorded delivery from the post office for your returned item as we cannot be held responsible for anything that gets lost or damaged in transit.

3.4 Damaged goods must be notified to us within 5 days of receipt.  Contact us for a return authorization on damaged items and we will process a claim or issue replacement.  In the event of damage caused by shipping, the delivery company may require an inspection, so please retain all packing materials.

3.5  Please e-mail us to let us know that you are returning an item and the reason for this.

4 PERSONAL DATA

4.1 All personal data held by Make Industries Ltd. is done so for the purpose of performing the services intended on this site. Personal Data will not be passed onto any third parties. Make Industries Ltd. customers reserve the right to alter or remove their data at any time.

4.2 If you prefer not to receive promotional information from us, please let us know by email. Please include your full name and the e-mail address you used when you registered with or made a purchase from us.  It may take up to 28 days to process your e-mail request, during which period you may continue to receive communications from makeindustries.co.uk.

5 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

5.1 All Intellectual Property Rights in this website including all inventions, logos, art work, slogans, designs, trade marks, trade names, works in which copyright may subsist and all works protected by the rights or forms of protection of a similar nature or having equivalent effect anywhere in the world are the property of Make Industries Ltd. Reproduction of any kind is forbidden without the prior written consent of Make Industries Ltd.

6 SAFETY

Our kits contain sharp needles and are therefore not suitable for babies or young children.

7 VARIATIONS

7.1 Make Industries Ltd. try to represent their products as realistically and clearly as possible but all web site images are a guide only and the colours may vary slightly upon delivery.

7.2 All the goods produced by Make Industries Ltd. are hand crafted and there may therefore be slight variations to the individual items which should not interfere with your overall enjoyment of the product.

8 GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

8.1 This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.

8.2 Only the parties to these terms and conditions may seek to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999
